Campanile Pontarlier

Comfortable bed, wide desk/counter, kettle, bath and easy access to the car park (and lawned areas for our dog). Friendly receptionists when checking in and out. Our two-course dinner was good value for money and we didn’t have to find anywhere off-site in the rain. Breakfast was also good, although very busy. We choose Campaniles when we’re travelling through France because they have an on-site restaurant (makes life much easier), a kettle in the room (but bring your own coffee and coffee mate if you want more than one cup - and cup if you don’t want to use a paper one), a bath in the bathroom, good parking, and proximity to the road network.

The value for money for an overnight stay on the French side of the Swiss border was exceptional. The room was as described so basic, small and motel style with door to the outside. The shower was hot and the towels were big and good quality. The Restaurant was fantastic value for money with a two course meal for two with half a litre of drinkable wine for £40. Great stop off point on our drive to the UK back from Italy. Breakfast was good value too and served at 7 am so we could get back to our journey early!
